I almost exclusively use tension rods and shower curtain (tension) rods to hang curtains now. I know I suck. But I can never figure out all the intricate directions and ridiculous amount of hardware required to hang fancier rods. And I can build IKEA furniture like a champ so I don't think it's me.
Or maybe it's me. Either way. Curtain rods can suck it.
I am intrigued.
ReplyDeleteWith boys going through dorms and apartments, I found that command hooks are a godsend for hanging curtain rods. The only problem is, of course, that I said boys, and boys don't understand any need for curtains.
ReplyDeleteCommand hooks are the greatest things since sliced bread.
DeleteBut do curtain rods come with directions with stick figures like IKEA furniture? It is the instructions and not you.
ReplyDeleteNo they do not.
DeleteI am a fan of the sentence "Curtain rods can suck it."
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed at your IKEA furniture-assembling prowess. I really really really find it difficult to decipher those image-based instructions they're so fond of. I was helping a friend assemble a desk from Ikea on the weekend and we couldn't figure out how to screw one piece into another piece, since there were no pre-drilled screw holes, which clearly appeared in the picture. We spent about 10 minutes roundly cursing Ikea before figuring out we had to flip the piece 180 degrees, which solved the "problem."
