She was on top of me in the hall getting the story out in a rush, repeating herself, reassuring us both that she'd done nothing wrong.
I asked the 8th grade boy I trusted for his view.

I now knew what Kelly looked like, and sounded like, when she lied.
I find myself wondering, as I read these last posts, if you would know when I lie? You are making me nervous, even from a distance!
